Originally from a small town in Pennsylvania, Cheryl came to Washington, D.C. to attend George Washington University. Upon graduation, she worked as a script analyst for the Source Theater Company while getting her marketing chops in the IT marketing at CGI, one of the largest independent IT and business process services companies in North America.

Throughout her 20 year marketing career, Cheryl has authored both business and creative content.

Today she is a successful freelance writer, working with a variety of businesses to meet their marketing and digital content needs.

  • At CGI, she wrote the winning submissions to the Center of Digital Government for the Best Fit Integrator Award, four years in a row.
  • At CGI, she wrote the best practice guide to competitive proposals and led the development of winning proposals for state and local government. She was also a key player in transitioning the AMS brand to CGI.
  • In local theater, she has worked as a trusted consultant and confident to authors and playwrights with the Writer's Realm, including renowned author Richard Rashke to workshop and finalize his play Dear Esther for its successful Holocaust Museum premier. Over the years, she has been nominated as Best Director and for Best Production with the Source Theater Company, New Works Theater, and Dominion Stage.
  • As a freelance writer, Cheryl enjoys putting her skills and experience to work to strengthen brands, support sales, and grow new business. For example, her article in Sports 'n Spokes Magazine helped drive new business for Driving Aids Development Corporation.
  • Her creativity and persistence has elevated the Hudson Hornet Mobility Adventure to media placement, including Hagerty Magazine and the White Triangle News.

When she's not writing, she share's her home with a regular clientele of dogs as a sitter for Rover.com.

"It was wonderful to meet you and Lee - you both are so warm and welcoming. Thank you for being there and also installing a really nice, unobstructed hand control system. You both made the process so simple plus the fact that I had never even transferred into my new dream car - even that you made comfortable. Again, thank you, thank you, thank you, for being there and being wonderful you!" - Nancy F.
